1. Hypothetical Situations
Used when something depends on a condition (often with "si").
- Iría contigo si tuviera tiempo. = I would go with you if I had time
- Viviríamos allí si pudiéramos. = We would live there if we could
2. Polite Requests and Offers
Used to sound less direct and more polite.
- ¿Podrías ayudarme? = Could you help me?
